Sun Raised Foods
In 2012 Sun Raised Farms pioneered the concept of using sheep to maintain the vegetation that grows on Solar Farms in North Carolina. The company identified family farmers living near solar farms that needed pasture to graze their sheep. Our farmers were then trained to meet standards for both animal welfare and vegetation management. As our network of family farmers grew, a new market was needed for the lamb that were produced and raised on the green pastures of the solar farms.
So we took it one step further. Sun Raised Foods is the result! Gourmet American Lamb and Charcuterie pasture raised on Solar Farms.
