TAKE THE LIGHT RAIL UPTOWN & SAVE!
A great idea is to catch the Light Rail uptown from either the last stop at I-485 on South Blvd ($6 return) or from Archdale Rd ($4.50 return) and get off at the Convention Center stop that has a direct entrance to the Hilton hotel. Parking at the Light Rail is free. If you choose to park at The Hilton its $18.
