SYNOPSIS
After the horrendous events at “Split Rock” Kylee’s life is forever changed. She blames the only man she has ever really loved for the tragedy that occurred there and pushes him away. Although not part of her life, they are bound together by love and history. After waiting for her for years, he finally walks away and resumes his life without her in it. As her life falls apart, she finds herself confused, alone, and wondering what to do next. Desperately despondent, Kaylee finds herself trapped between the past and present as she accepts a job on the plains of the Serengeti. Her life changes irrevocable during the years spent working on the plains, discovering its secrets, and enjoying all the wonders that unfold before her. It is in this wonderful place that a new love enters her life and her hope is renewed.

Place of the Spirits traverses southern and eastern Africa. The reader is taken on a journey through Rhodesia and Botswana and into South Africa where we are introduced to the Eastern Transvaal, the wonderful area known as the Garden Route and the Cape. The Serengeti Plains divulges to those whose eyes, ears and sense of smell are awakened. We are taught to look, touch and feel nature’s wonders.
